Library Geek
From April, 1999 to Summer 2000, I served as resident geek for a community college's library.
This was a very heterogenous network environment - Novell 4.10 and 5,
Linux, HP/UX 9.04 and 10.20, NT 3.51/WinFrame, NT 4.0 and Windows 95/98.
Iwas tasked with remedies, systems documentation and stragetic planning
after years of accumulating systems that didn't necessarily cooperate with
each other. I'm happy to say that during my tenure, system reliability improved
significantly and the facility assumed a service-oriented approach to technology.
