Maryland Taiko

In the spring of 2001, I marched with the Ryukyu-Koku Matsuri Daiko group in the National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade. As part of this, I dragged a few local high school students along with me to march with the regular performing group.

I attempted to put people together to organize a Taiko group in Baltimore and/or Washington, DC. If you're interested in working with inner-city kids or banging on Japanese drums, let me know.
